New Years weekend bits & pieces
/ a night on the water with dear friends, in our cozy clothes by nine o'clock
/ waving at revelers passing by on boats lit up in red and green lights
/ bacon-wrapped everything and gin punch
/ sparkling wine and confetti poppers, just before sleep
/ apple crisp, a forgotten dessert remembered for breakfast
/ a walk on the frigid beach, in search of seashells but finding only a star-topped tree on the jetty and grey birds in the surf
/ a late morning coffee date, just the two of us, to remember about our past year and dream up the next few
In 2018, we're hoping for more books read, more dinners together, more adventures near and far.
