rainy sunday

After a full weekend, spending the day in bed, catching up on piles of work and watching the rain pour down is just what I've needed.  I'm writing about a hundred post-it notes in my planner, preparing for the week ahead, and thinking about chicken noodle soup for dinner.  I've been making lists - recipes to cook this month, Christmas gifts to shop for, things to buy to fill the (very empty) walls of our bedroom.

weekend bits & pieces

/ a much needed happy hour date, and two glasses of Malbec at the spot where we had our rehearsal dinner

/ trying out Instacart -- because I'm the worst at grocery store impulse buys

/ scrubbing the house with the windows open on a sunny Saturday morning

/ making the laziest Halloween costumes for a party with friends

/ Sunday morning laundry, made much more pleasant by the coffee & breakfast sandwiches he made
