We went to the Wildwood, to celebrate one of my oldest (dearest) pals turning thirty.
We spent a day on the beach, reading and walking and dipping into the ocean before a night out to celebrate our girl. 25 years into our friendship, I hardly remember life without Courtney.
In the morning, we walked on the boardwalk and took a drive to Cape May, just us two -- all roses and peonies and sunshine. On our last night, we ran through a thunderstorm to find chips and onion dip and I stayed up late to finish a book while the rain poured down. It was the sweetest start to summer and we spent the drive home dreaming of more weekend trips together.
