I took a mid-afternoon break from my computer to take a walk outside on our first truly hot day. May is when the campus turns green, then startlingly quiet. You can tell time by the trees.
Summer always feels like home, and I've wondered if it has anything or everything to do with being born in the midst of a heatwave thirty summers ago.
Later, I watched blue turn to gray as the storm rolled in, leaving a wash of rainbow in its wake.
