Easter weekend -- a blur of unexpected visitors and drives to see my grandmother in the hospital, a pile of homework that never seems to get any smaller, a handful of hidden eggs filled with cheddar bunnies and chocolate for a tiny egg-hunter, dinner with both families, missing my dad. On our way home, the sky was all brushstrokes of peach and blush and lavender and deep blue. Today, I woke at half past four to take my mama to the train and then watched the snow fall onto the pond, with a pile of laundry and a cup of tea.
