It was such a full weekend, with some of the last adventures of 2017. A snowy Friday evening, followed by a Saturday drive to Brooklyn. Sunday -- starting at church with some of my favorite hymns and traditions, and ending with birthday cake and flowers for his grandma.

/ red wine and pizza after a long, icy drive from work
/ working our way through a stack of Christmas movies -- Home Alone and The Family Stone
/ a live-action Charlie Brown Christmas
/ brunch in Park Slope -- eggs, a negroni, and lots of thoughts about the year
/ the annual Christmas pageant, with my Sunday school students dressed as sheep
/ a visit to our favorite florist and their sweet golden retriever, Clover
/ a lavender and epsom salt bubble bath
