eating eggs and avocado toast, with heaps of everything bagel seasoning and red pepper flakes
drinking the last of summer rose` and la croix
reading no apparent distress
listening to the theory of everything, each morning at work
watching friday night lights, for the 3rd or 7th time
bookmarking cozy rugs for our bare floors
looking for ways to be more grateful
waiting for work to slow down just slightly
wondering: what 2018 will bring
wearing my birkenstocks, for what are likely their last few trips of the season
smelling my favorite amber candle
noticing how quickly the weeks are passing this semester
laughing at my husband's stories at the end of the school day
daydreaming about holidays and vacations this fall
wishing for more three day weekends
feeling overwhelmed by work, but so happy at home
